1. What is the purpose of SKECHERS FRIENDSHIP WALK HONG KONG 2024 (the “Event”)?

SKECHERS FRIENDSHIP WALK is an iconic walk event initiated by renowned multinational footwear company SKECHERS. In 2024, SKECHERS HONG KONG (the “Organizer”) brings the event to Hong Kong for the first time to celebrate quality time with family and friends and active lifestyle. Making the walk even more meaningful, part of the proceeds will be donated to three local charities: InspiringHK Sports Foundation, Society for Abandoned Animals, and Hong Kong Rehabilitation Power.

2. When will the event hold? Is everyone eligible to participate?

SKECHERS FRIENDSHIP WALK HONG KONG 2024 will be held on Sunday April 14, 2024.

There are two parts in the Event: a walk, and a carnival. The walk is registered-only, while the general public are welcome to join the carnival.

3. How many categories are there? Is there an age limit?

There are 5KM categories and 2.5KM – Pet category, with corresponding age limit specified for children and pets. For more details, please see Event info.

4. How much is the entry fee? What are included in the fee? Which payment methods do you accept?

We only accept the following online payments via Stripe:

  • UnionPay
  • Alipay
  • WeChat Pay

All successfully registered participants will receive a walk kit, which includes one event tee and one event drawstring bag. All finishers will receive one electronic certificate and one finisher medal.

5. How can I confirm that my registration has been accepted?

A confirmation email will be sent to registered email within seven(7) working days after registration submitted successfully. A registrant must ensure that his/her designated email is correct, valid, can receive notification from the Organizer and will continue to be in use. If you do not receive any notification messages, or if you experience any system errors, please email to skxfriendshipwalk@yello-marketing.com, or call (852) 6490-8914 (Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:30AM-6:30PM) for enquiries.

6. How to register for the Event at SKECHERS PLUS member price??

This offer is appliable to first 300 active SKECHERS PLUS members, including immediate joiners, until 23:59 on February 29, 2024. To join the membership, please see SKECHERS Plus Membership Registration.

7. What do I do if I cannot participate after I have registered?

Upon submitting his/her registration and payment of the entry fee, no fee is refundable.

8. Is everyone eligible to bring a pet to the event? What are the guidelines for pet owners?

Only successfully registered participants of the “2.5KM – Pet” category are allowed to bring a pet. For guidelines related to pet owners and pets, please see TERMS & CONDITIONS.

9. What will happen if the event is changed, halted or canceled?

Should the Event be changed, halted or canceled due to weather or other circumstances beyond the control of the Organizer or in the case of a force majeure resulting in the Event being, no fee is refundable. The Organizer shall have no other responsibilities and/or liabilities in relation to such cancellation.

10. How to go to the Starting Point?

11. What should I wear to the event?

It is recommended to wear event tee with comfortable sportswear and running shoes for the walk.

12. What do I do if I miss the start time?

Your start time (“Flag-off Time”) is specified in the registration confirmation email. All participants must start the walk at the assigned Flag-off Time. Late participants will not be allowed to enter the walk. Participants are recommended to arrive at the Event Venue at least 45 minutes before the Flag-off Time to prepare for the start. Please note that no changes on the Walk Category and Flag-off Time are allowed. To ensure smooth operation of the Event, there are cut off times set for each start.

13. What is the adverse weather arrangement?

The Organiser may cancel the Event if tropical cyclone warning signal no.3 or above, or if a red or black rainstorm signal is hoisted by the Hong Kong Observatory at 4am or thereafter on the walk day.

Please pay special attention to the weather forecast the night before the Event as it will indicate whether tropical cyclone warning signals, red or black rainstorm signals are likely to be hoisted in the forthcoming period.

14. What else should I be aware of?

Participants should be aware of and understand the risks involved in taking part in his/her walk, and acknowledge the degree of fitness required to take part therein. For details, please see TERMS & CONDITIONS.
